Matthew Brown does a wonderful job in explaining the relationship between Masons and Mormons. He goes into detail about the origins of Masonry and how history is now showing Joseph Smiths statement of Masonry "coming from the Priesthood", to be true. Matthew Brown makes a very strong argument for the authenticity of the Endowment. The early Christians, and Jewish Kings and Priests, had very similar ordinances to what is practiced today in the Temple. These early men practiced these same ordinances, and Joseph Smith restored them. Joseph Smith was not lying when he said that Masonry was the apostate endowment, and this book does an excellent job in making that point. |
